3. What FileDrop Pro does with data

FileDrop Pro is a client-side and server-side extension that runs entirely inside Your Business Central tenant. It does not transmit business data, file contents, or document metadata to Lift & Code or to any third party.

When You drop a file onto the FileDrop Pro factbox:

  1. The file is read in Your browser by the JavaScript control add-in (readAsDataURL) and base64-encoded
  2. The encoded file is sent over Your existing Business Central session to AL code running in Your tenant
  3. The AL code writes the file to the standard Business Central tables Incoming Document and Incoming Document Attachment and links it to the host record (journal line, ledger entry, posted document, etc.)

No part of the file leaves Your Microsoft tenancy as a result of using FileDrop Pro.
